Getting to Chirripó Oasis
Chirripó Oasis is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the southern highlands of Costa Rica, just 15.5 kilometers (9.7 miles) northeast of the main city of San Isidro del General. It’s a 3.5-hour drive south of the Juan Santa Maria International Airport.

By Car
The most convenient way to reach us is by car. You can easily find directions on Google Maps, which will guide you to our welcome area. Here, you’ll meet our friendly Chirripó Oasis staff and park your car. We’ll then transport you to the Chirripó Oasis grounds in a 4×4 vehicle. If you have your own 4×4, you’re welcome to follow us there. Please let us know in advance when you’ll be arriving so we can be ready to greet you. Look out for our sign at the welcome area where you can park your car. Please note, the roads in this region can be narrow and close to cliffs, so we advise all our guests to drive with caution.
By Bus
If you’re traveling by bus, take the bus from El Mercado de San Isidro del General to San Gerardo de Rivas. The bus can drop you off about 75 feet from our welcome area. For more information on bus schedules, please contact us.
